Heartland 1-3 Shooting Stars: Oluyole Warriors humble Naze Millionaires in Oba


The Owerri side lost their third home game of the season after they were caged by the Ibadan-based club in Oba on Monday
Shooting Stars defeated Heartland 3-1 at the Rojenny International Stadium, Oba on Monday in a delayed NPFL Week 22 tie, after rain disrupted the showdown earlier on Sunday.
Goals from Tope Orelope, Cletus Itodo and Nojeem Olulokun helped the Ibadan side to an emphatic victory away from home as Fortune Omoniwari scored the hosts’ solo goal.
The Oluyole Warriors started the game more purposeful of the two sides and got the curtain raiser in the 39th minute through Orelope, his third goal in the last two matches.
Some mix up in the defense of the visitors gifted Heartland the equalizer in the dying moments of the first half as Omoniwari leveled proceedings.
Itodo and Olukokun added two more goals for 3SC in the 47th and 64th minutes to ensure that the Ibadan side avenged their first stanza 2-1 loss to the Naze Millionaires.
It was Heartland's third home defeat of the season after they were beaten by Abia Warriors and Sunshine Stars during the first stanza.
Shooting Stars moved to ninth on the log with 32 points from 22 matches while Heartland are eighth with 33 points from 22 matches.
