Nicki Minaj wax figure has not been removed from Madame Tussauds, despite report

Attention Nicki Minaj fans hoping to snap a photo with that infamous wax figure at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas: Contrary to several misleading reports, the statue has not been removed. You will get that photo opp.
“Nicki Minaj’s wax figure has not been removed from Madame Tussauds Las Vegas,” a Madame Tussauds representative tells Zap2it. “The set has merely been adjusted.”
The statement does beg another question: What kind of “set adjustment” are we talking about? Will the figure be posed or costumed differently? Will the “Anaconda” music video-themed display be replaced with a different Minaj music video theme?
Multiple news outlets reported Wednesday (Sept. 9) that the popular Minaj wax figure at Tussauds’ Vegas location was being removed due to the amount of inappropriate photos visitors were snapping with the figure.
While Madame Tussauds encourages visitors to interact with the wax figures in all of its locations, the company had to beef up security for the display due to the inappropriate stances some guests chose to take with the statue, which offended other visitors.
