Dry, October 1, Invasion 1897 win big at BON Awards

The Best Screen Play award for Dry
Stephanie Okereke’s advocacy film, “Dry” released  a few months ago and starring veteran actress Liz Benson, William McNamara, Darwin Shaw and Paul Sambo received all the accolades at the newly opened International Conference Centre, Akure, the Ondo State capital, where this year’s edition of the Best of Nollywood, BON Awards, held amid glitz and glamour.
The advocacy movie based on a true life story won three awards which include, the Award for Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay and Movie with the Best Social message.
Kunle Afolanyan’s October 1 won Best Production Design, Best Actor and Best Costume Awards while Lancelot Imasuen’s Invasion 1897 won awards for the Best Movie of the Year, Best Director and Best Soundtrack.
