‘FirstBank Intends To Defraud Me Of N42, 000’

first bank nigeria logo  Godwin-Emefiele-New-CBN-GovI have decided to take this matter to the Court of Public opinion because I am not getting any response from the parties involved.
With the introduction of the cashless policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) which was heralded by the adoption of electronic and Internet mobile banking, most commercial banks in the country have been defrauding unsuspecting members of the public through inefficient banking products.
On December 6, 2015, around 9.10pm, I transferred the sum of forty-two thousand naira ( N42, 000) from my GTBank account to my younger sister’s FirstBank account for onward delivery to my father; my account was debited, but my sister never got the money. I just hope that this is not some conspiracy between the two commercial bank to defraud me of my hard-earned money.
This is the second time I will be having this ugly experience with First Bank. I think the bank either needs to upgrade its Internet banking system or better still, needs to purge its system of criminal tendencies.
Before taking this step, I had written a letter of complaints to First Bank via email: complaintsunit@firstbanknigeria.com; yet there was no acknowledgement nor any response.
Below is a copy of the email:
Complaint About GTBank/ FirstBank Mobile Banking Transfer
To Whom It May Concern,
I write to complain about a mobile banking transfer I made from my GTBank account to my younger sister’s FirstBank account on December 26, 2015, which is yet to deliver in the beneficiary’s account, but my account has been debited to that effect.
I  transferred forty-two thousand naira (N42, 000)  from, GTBank Account No: 0048112250 (EKELE PETER AGBO) to FirstBank Account:3049420572 (SIMON ENE LIZZY).
I have double-checked and cross-checked with GTBank and all evidence shows that the money has been sent and delivered to FirstBank
Here is the transaction alert from GTBank:
Acct: ******2250
Amt: NGN42,000.00 Dr
Desc: NIBSS Instant Payment Outward-058011151226070647294081280787  TO SIMON ENE LIZZY  from EKELE, PETER AGBO
I, therefore, implore you in the name of God to resolve this issue immediately and urgently too.The money is for the upkeep of my aged parents at home in Otukpo.
Thank you.

If the issue is not resolved before the close of work by tomorrow, December 31, 2015, I will be left with no other choice than to wash the ‘dirty linens’ of these banks in the Nigerian public and International domain.
