Olota: "Don't announce yet." Governor Amosun Orders Olota in Council

Finally, the speculations on the death of Awori paramount ruler, the Olota of Ota, Oba Moshood Adetoro Alani Oyede have been cleared.

Though not yet official but the kingmakers confirmed to our reporters that the Arole Iganmode have gone to meet his ancestors.

The Ogun State Government is yet to make official statements on the death of the Awori Kingdom monarch.

Information gathered revealed that Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun sent his condolence and ordered the Olota in Council not to make public announcement yet.

Reasons for keeping the death of Oba Oyede under wraps by the State governor is not given by those who should know.

However, sources informed that princes from different royal quarters of the ancient town have commenced underground moves and acquiring interests from appropriate quarters ahead of succession process.

The late Oba Oyede was the 13th Olota of Ota after the first crowned Olota, Oba Akinsewa Ogbolu in 1621.
