Court adjourns EFCC’s suit on forfeiture of Patience Jonathan’s $5.7m to FG
NAN The absence of Justice Mojisola Olatoregun of a Federal High Court Lagos on Wednesday stalled proceedings on an application seeking permanent forfeiture of 5.7 million dollars belonging to former First Lady, Mrs Patience Jonathan. The case could not proceed as judges of the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court were attending a valedictory session in honour of retired Chief Judge, Ibrahim Auta.

Another multi-billion naira property has been traced to a former First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is to mark the property as “being under investigation” and may place it under Interim Asset Forfeiture.
The relationship between Mrs. Jonathan and two companies was being probed by detectives as at press time.

EFCC withdraws motion on Patience Jonathan’s account
NAN>>> The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday withdrew a motion before a Federal High Court Lagos for stay of execution of a judgment which unfreeze the account of a former first lady, Patience Jonathan.
Justice Mojisola Olatoregun had on April 6 unfreeze the account after Jonathan’s lawyer, Mr Ifedayo Adedipe (SAN), challenged the propriety of EFCC’s action.

Channels TV A Federal High Court in Lagos has frozen multiple accounts in five Nigerian banks allegedly belonging to former first lady, Patience Jonathan over allegations of money laundering.
Justice Mojisola Olatoregun made the order freezing the accounts after listening to an exparte application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), sometime in November.
