Buhari sacks NPA Boss

President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Alhaji Sanusi Ado Bayero.
The termination of Alhaji Bayero’s appointment is with immediate effect, a statement by Femi Adesina, the President’s spokesman said Thursday.
“He is to hand over the management of the NPA and all government property in his possession to Mr. Habibu Abdullahi who has been reinstated as Managing Director of the NPA by President Buhari.
“President Buhari wishes Alhaji Bayero well in his future endeavours.”
The statement was silent on why Bayero, who was appointed by President Goodluck on April 30, 2015, barely a month before he left office, was fired.
