2015 Acura MDX lights up Mercy Aigbe-Gentry’s garage ---Punch Nigeria

One of the most popular faces on television today in Nigeria, Mercy Aigbe-Gentry, has through dedication and hard work wormed herself into the hearts of many across the country. A gifted actress who has mastered the art of excellently interpreting roles in Yoruba movies, she has amassed several notable awards over the years for her efforts while also seeing her bank deposit swell by the day.
To celebrate this screen icon, her husband, Mr. Lanre Gentry, a notable hotelier, spoilt the Edo State-born celebrity with a brand new 2015 Acura MDX worth a whopping N9.2m as she clocked 37 recently. The latest ride is in addition to other ‘toys’ at the disposal of the delectable actress.
The 2015 Acura MDX is an embodiment of class, luxury and excellent engineering built for balance and high performance. Owing to its solid appearance, only few Sports Utility Vehicles can compete with it on the highway.
Performance
The 2015 Acura MDX is powered by the brand’s direct-injected 3.5-liter V-6 engine, producing 290 horsepower. It’s connected to a six-speed automatic in all versions of the MDX, and that transmission can be paddle-shifted from the steering wheel.
Acura has worked to mitigate torque steer by changing the geometry in front, reducing the driveshaft angles and the centre offset. The powertrain itself has been lowered, too. Likewise, the former model’s trailing-arm rear suspension setup has been dumped in favour of a multi-link, coil-over-damper layout.
New amplitude-reactive dampers reduce the damping force for high-frequency inputs—jittery pavement surfaces, for example—while hydraulic sub-frame mount bushings help seal out road vibration. Acura claims that the new approach improves ride comfort with no trade-off to handling.
The so-called Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system that’s available in the MDX (yes, front-wheel drive is now standard, if that’s all you need) provides more all-weather traction, and even a little more cornering control in some situations, and it can vary front-wheel torque distribution from 90 per cent down to 30 per cent (70 per cent to the rear)—or up to a hundred percent to either the left or right wheels
