Buhari Lists His 34 Plans For The 2016 Budget --- The Herald

The Federal Government has set aside ’34 strategic priority programmes and projects’ which it aims at carrying out starting with the 2016 budget.

Disclosing the Strategic priority programmes and projects, the Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed told reporters after a meeting presided over by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo that the President was expected to receive the corrected version of the budget details from the National Assembly today or tomorrow.

Other sources confirmed that the President would sign the budget before he leaves for France on Friday.

The Minister of State for Budget and National Planning noted that the 34 specific areas were grouped into four major objectives which include: governance and security; diversification of the economy; creating support for the poor and the vulnerable: as well as reflating the economy through investment.
