Real Madrid star
Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed that it hurts him to see his rival Lionel Messi
cry.
Reacting for the first time to Messi retirement from International
football, Ronaldo said he hopes the Barcelona star have a rethink about calling
it quit to his International career.
He reportedly told Spanish newspaper Mundo
Deportivo: “Messi has taken a tough decision and people should understand.
“It hurts to see Messi
in tears and I hope he returns to his country, because he needs it.”
Messi quit international football after losing his
fourth major final last month as Chile claimed Copa America glory on
penalties.
Messi was visibly dejected when he sat on the pitch after the
shootout defeat.
