He described the defence of the Nigerian Army that Buratai bought the properties with his personal savings as a “cock and bull story”.

Revered lawyer, Femi Falana, has called on PresidentMuhammadu Buhari to relieve the chief of army staff, lieutenant-general Tukur Buratai over his alleged fraudulent purchase of $1.5million Dubai properties.

Falana stated this in a statement issued on Sunday, July 10.
He described the defence of the Nigerian Army that Buratai bought the properties with his personal savings as a “cock and bull story”.
Falana said it is nearly impossible that the army boss acquired the assets with his own money.
“In view of the ban on the opening and operation of foreign accounts by public officers, the Code of Conduct Bureau should be involved in the investigation," Falana said.
“If the Chief of Army Staff does not deem it fit to resign forthwith, President Buhari should not hesitate to remove him in the interest of national morality.”
He stressed that Buhari should make good of his promise that there will be no sacred cow in his anti-corruption war, noting that Buratai stepping down will further prove that. Source: Pulseng
