As Yuletide approaches, bank leaves clients stranded and without cash
The Capital NG The proverbial good ending remains ever elusive to Skye Bank, like the fabled golden fleece coveted by all yet attainable by only a paltry few. As you read, customers of the new generation bank are at the receiving end of an insidious banking culture and what amounts to betrayal and breach of trust in business parlance.
Contrary to the rules of engagement governing their relationship with the bank, Skye Bank’s customers are unable to withdraw hard-earned money they lodged for safe-keeping in the bank’s coffers.
Thus many are left stranded in transit and at the point of crucial purchases and transactions in some parts of the country
To their consternation, the bank’s customers are unable to withdraw money from the bank’s counter. They cannot withdraw more than a certain amount thus casting them in unimaginable hardship. The situation becomes unbearable to the bank’s customers particularly in this festive period as they are rendered helpless and impoverished without access to money they kept with the bank.

This gives rise to speculations about the bank’s alleged insolvency and traumatised status. Let’s hope the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) would swing to action and save Skye Bank’s teeming customers from further hardship.
