One politician in Ogun State, whose latest activities is attracting curious  public attention is the Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Senator Kashamu Buruji.
These have also attracted the attention of the Chairman of the Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable Sikirullahi Ogundele.

Ogundele said in a press statement issued on his behalf by the party's Publicity Secretary in the state, Alhaji Malik Olamilekan Ibitoye that for Senator Kashamu Buruji, it was time for him to eat the humble pie, swallow his pride and beg for forgiveness.
According to Ogundele, it was surprising that rather than amending his ways and making peace with the PDP, Buruji who was recently suspended by the PDP in Ogun State for anti party activities and misappropriation of party funds is busy romancing the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which he said does not even have any regard for him.
The party Chairman said in the statement, which was made available to the press, that a pointer to this fact is the reported demolition of a health facility at Obada area of Ijebu-Igbo in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State, said to be illegally undergoing renovation through the effort of Senator Buruji Kashamu  on Tuesday by the state government.
He stated that reports had it that the facility was being renovated "without duly approval from the state government, which hitherto, formed the reason behind the demolition carried out in the presence of the state commissioner for health, Dr. Babatunde Ipaye and the council boss, Mr. Adebayo Adekoya.
"Adekoya reportedly told journalists that the lawmaker failed to follow due process before embarking on the project, while alleging that the contractor handling the project chased out staff of the hospital and patients, as well as throwing out medical equipment."
Ogundele emphasised that Senator Buruji Kashamu should cover his face in shame, come to the PDP and bow to the leadership of the authentic structure of the party led by Sikirulahi Ogundele.
"He is a ready example of a politician, who in the current dispensation cannot be described as an opposition figure. He loves APC from the bottom of his heart.
"Buruji has shown that he is an APC member in his deeds despite being elected into the red chamber on the platform of the PDP. He should have commended Gov Amosun for pulling the health center down because he had never seen anything bad in the APC. Sometimes we wonder in Ogun State if the Senator is competing with Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information in promoting President Buhari." Malik quoted Sikirulai to have said in the statement.
The party Chairman said further that it is nauseating that someone in the position of Kashamu Buruji who ought to lead a formidable opposition against the APC is romancing the party, adding that he should see himself as a failure for his current roles.
While sympathising with the residents of Obada Area in Ijebu Igbo, who would have benefited from the healthcare project, Ogundele said that it served Buruji right, adding that it is a warning for him that he could never be loved by the ruling party.
"We are surprised that Kashamu Buruji wants to be more Catholic than the Pope and he is crying more than the bereaved. This is not how to play politics. You are romancing the opposition all because you want a safe landing based on your past deeds.
"It is not the way to go. The best is to make a retreat and come back home and settle your issues once and for all or else, what happened with the healthcare project would be a child's play compared to what the APC has in the offing for you," the statement read.
Ogundele then called on all 'right thinking person to call Buruji to order so that he would stop denigrating the PDP,' saying that the party is poised to take over power from the APC in some states, including Ogun and at the federal level in 2019.
