Murder In The Palace: Delta Police Declare Prince Mbanefo Nwoko, Others Wanted For Alleged Murder Of Monarch!

The Delta State Police Comand has swung into action to unravel the mystery behind the sudden death of Obi Albert Nwoko, the late King of Idumuje Ugboko kingdom, Aniocha North Local Government of Delta State.

And from information reliably gathered from police sources, the second son of the late monarch, Prince Mbanefo Nwoko is said to be complicit in the suspicious death of his father.

Infact, our source revealed that Prince Mbanefo was alleged to have conspired with his sister, Uzor Nwoko and two bothers; Nonso Nwoko and Uwadiegwu Nwoko to kill their 90 year old father who they whispered to some of their accomplices had refused to die in order for them to take over the throne of the kingdom.

Those also being investigated by the police in the alleged murder of the king are Obiajulu and Ejimofor Nwoko who are younger brothers of the late king. Competent sources revealed that the police decided to dig into the circumstances that led to the death of Obi Albert Nwoko few months
back after some family members and notable traditional chiefs in the kingdom raised the alarm of a conspiracy theory and suspicion of foul play in the death.

We learnt from our sources that after the death of Obi Alber Nwoko, the suspects within few hours hurriedly buried the corpse at about 12 midnight, without any traditional rites and purportedly istalled the first son, Nonso as the new king without consultations with the kingmakers and traditional chiefs.

“They want to turn our tradition upside down because of their selfish intentions and evil machinations. Can you believe that no chief in the kingdom was notified of the death or burial. The whole kingdom just
woke up and heard our king had died and had been buried. It is never done. Everything was done in a very obvious suspicious manner. They didn’t even allow other members of the family members to see the dead body. What we even heard from the police was that the body was dismembered to avoid any evidence that the Obi was murdered”, a source confided in us.

Meanwhile, prior to the execution of the plot to eliminate the monarch, Prince Mbanefo and his siblings had beaten up, tortured and chased away other wives and children of the late king.

“You see, the tradition in this kingdom is that the mother of whoever must be king must come from this kingdom. So, they deliberately chased away the children whose mother are from the kingdom in order to pave way for their own plot and hurriedly installed Nonso whose mother is not from this kingdom as the new king. But they will fail because the rightful heir to the throne is alive and being protected by the whole community.” Our source revealed.

On the other hand, Prince Mbanefo Nwoko who has now gone into hiding is also wanted by the anti fraud squad of the Nigerian Police, apart from the homicide department.
According to our sources, Mbanefo is wanted in connection with some forgeries relating to bank fraud where it was alleged that he received the sum of N4 million from a Benin based businessman named Osagie Edokpolor.

According to the complaint, Mbanefo claimed he was going to sell a car to Ogagie, collected money from him and disappeared.

We however gathered that the Police have spread their dragnet and combing villages and cities to nab the fugitive Prince Mbanefo and his siblings for the alleged murder of their father and other atrocities.

Interestingly, these same people have been indicted for the rape of the 14 year old daughter of the late monarch. Some of them are already standing trial in the court for the alleged rape.
