President of the Senate Dr Bukola Saraki mourns late Channels TV reporter Chukwuma Onuekwusi
President of the Senate Dr Bukola Saraki

Agency Report>>> The Code of Conduct Tribunal has struck out the Assets Declaration Case against the President of the Senate Dr Bukola Saraki.

Chairman of the Tribunal Danladi Umar upheld the no case submission filed by Dr Saraki saying that he had no case to answer.

He added that the prosecution had not brought enough evidence to continue the trial and as such the Chairman discharged and acquitted Saraki of all wrongdoing and struck out the case.
Saraki had filed a no case submission on May 26 urging the tribunal to strike out the case for lack of evidence.
Saraki argued that none of the exhibits tendered and no evidence given by the four prosecution witnesses linked him to the alleged offences to warrant him to defend the charges.
