The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has given a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Pius Anyim the option of returning the N520m he allegedly collected from a former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), or be prosecuted for money laundering.

Detained immediate-past National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd), on Tuesday asked the Federal High Court in Abuja to suspend and adjourn indefinitely his trial on charges of illegal possession of firearms and money laundering.

$2bn arms scam: Buhari’s ally, Isa, returns N170m to FG


The Capital NG  A close friend of President Muhammadu Buhari and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Brig.Gen. Jafaru Isa (retd.), has returned N170m to the Federal Government.
Isa, who is a former military governor of Kaduna State, was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in January for allegedly receiving N170m from the embattled former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.).

The Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has dismissed the alleged confession of former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro that he received fund from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) under Col Sambo Dasuki to fund his election in 2014.

An FCT High Court, Maitama, on Monday adjourned a former National Security Adviser (NSA), retired Col. Sambo Dasuki’s, motion for consolidation of two cases against him till Oct. 5.
Dasuki, Shuaibu Salisu, a former Director of Finance, Office of the NSA, and Aminu Baba-Kusa, a former NNPC Executive Director, were arraigned for alleged diversion of N13.6 billion.
