It's good to be home. My fellow Americans, Michelle and I have been so touched by all the well-wishes we've received over the past few weeks.

But tonight it's my turn to say thanks.

Whether we've seen eye-to-eye or rarely agreed at all, my conversations with you, the American people — in living rooms and schools; at farms and on factory floors; at diners and on distant outposts — are what have kept me honest, kept me inspired, and kept me going.

Every day, I learned from you. You made me a better President, and you made me a better man.

AFP    US President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday accused Barack Obama of making “inflammatory” statements and complicating the impending transfer of power — the latest salvo in an escalating war of words with the current commander-in-chief.

U.S. ready to attack N’Korea, warns Kim

NAN The U.S. warned North  Korea on Wednesday that any use of nuclear weapons against South Korea would “be met with effective and overwhelming response”.

The warning was contained in a statement issued jointly on Wednesday by the Governments of the Republic of Korea (South Korea) and the U.S. after the inaugural meeting of the Extended Deterrence Strategy and Consultation Group (EDSCG) in Washington, D.C.
