Julius Berger decries recession, retires 6,000 workers

The Guardian   Construction giant, Julius Berger has compulsorily retired at least 6,000 workers within the last two years.
But, all was not gloomy at the company as another 878 dedicated staffers were appreciated with long service award in line with its tradition.

Ex-CBN chief urges National Assembly to expedite action on 2017 budget

NAN     A former Director of the Economic Research Department of the CBN, Mr Chris Nemedia, has told the National Assembly to expedite action on the 2017 budget to tackle the current recession.
Nemedia, who made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Wednesday, said there was need for the assembly to give accelerated hearing to the budget.
