Governor Oshiomhole in alleged multibillion naira scandal

-The Edo state chapter of the PDP has challenged Governor Adams Oshiomhole to reveal to Edo people the owners a guest house and an estimated N5.8 billion residential house along Okoro- Otun Road
-Alleges that the governorship candidate of the APC in the state, Godwin Obaseki, received N1.5 billion as commission for facilitating the N30 billion loan taken by the state government
-Urges traders experiencing difficulties due to the prohibitive and multiple taxes of the state government to reject the APC on September 10 with their votes

The party has also accused the governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Godwin Obaseki, of receiving N1.5 billion as commission for facilitating a N30 billion loan from the capital market taken by the state government to fund the Benin City Storm Water Project.
Vanguard reports that the state PDP chairman, Dan Orbih, who raised the allegations on Tuesday, August 9, challenged the governor to reveal to Edo people the owners of the former Guinness Guest House, along Reservation Road Benin, and builder of an estimated N5.8 billion residential house along Okoro- Otun Road.
Speaking at a campaign rally alongside the PDP governorship candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, held at the Motor Spare Parts Market at Evkareke in Benin City, Orbih said despite paying over N23 billion to a contractor after performing less than 30per cent of the Storm Water project that was awarded without a valid environmental impact assessment, the project has already become an ecological disaster threatening hapless citizens.
He said though the government has withdrawn N180 million for compensation to those living at Queen Ede erosion site and after that the sum of N450 million to pay compensation to those affected by gully erosion in Auchi, there was no record anywhere showing how the governor paid the money to the victims of the erosion problem.
Orbih called on the traders who he said were experiencing difficulties due to the prohibitive and multiple taxes of the state government to reject the APC on September 10 with their votes.
Meanwhile, the wife of the president, Hajiya Aisha Buhari has decleared her support for the candidate of the APC, Mr Godwin Obaseki in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Edo State.
Hajiya Buhari endorsed Obaseki while she was represented by the APC Woman leader in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Mrs Hailmary Aipoh on a courtesy visit to the APC candidate.
Mrs Aipoh, on behalf of Hajiya Buhari led other APC women leaders across the country to offer their support to Obaseki and the APC chapter of Edo state.
According to Hajiya Buhari, victory for the APC in the forthcoming polls in the state is non-negotiable.
