Fuji music icon, KWAM1, Isolo LG chair visit Tinubu in London

“Our leader is hale and hearty and we can expect him back in the country soon”

Legendary Nigerian Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal popularly known as KWAM1 and the Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Adebayo Olasoju both on Friday visited the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Bola Tinubu in London.

Olasoju, after the visit, reportedly said the APC chieftain will return to Nigeria shortly.

The LG chair gave the hint Friday evening after visiting the former Lagos Governor in London.

He assured that Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, is in a sound condition of health, adding that he will be “back in the country soon.”

“Our leader is hale and hearty and we can expect him back in the country soon”, he said.

Tinubu has been in the United Kingdom since July recuperating after surgery.

The Jagaban of Borgu has received President Muhammadu Buhari and other prominent politicians including governors and lawmakers.

Fuji lord, KWAM1 is notably the first prominent private citizen and entertainer to have visited the political generalissimo.

Before his recent trip, Tinubu was abroad in June and flew to Nigeria amid growing rumours of his death.

President Muhammadu Buhari is returning to the country today, after receiving medical attention in London.
The President had left the country on May 7, this year, after handing over power to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who has functioned as Acting President since then.

Update: 12 dead in London tower fire



NAN>>> At least 12 people have been confirmed killed as a huge blaze turned a 27-storey tower block in London Kensington  into an inferno in the early hours of the morning.
The initial death toll was put at six, but Met Police Commander Stuart Cundy said at 5pm it had risen to 12, with fears it will increase further.

Arik suspends flights to London, Johannesburg

Arik has suspended its international flight operations to the London and Johannesburg routes.
The spokesman of the Asset Management Company of Nigeria,AMCON, Jude Nwauzor, made the announcement in a statement issued on Tuesday in Lagos.

Nigerians condemn jubilation over Ibori’s freedom

NAN   Some Nigerians have expressed displeasure with the celebration of the release of James Ibori, a former Delta Governor, from a prison in London.
They told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that such celebration was condemnable, unfortunate and uncalled for.

After over four and a half years in prison, former Governor James Ibori of Delta State yesterday regained his freedom at the Royal Courts of Justice in London. An appeal judge, Mrs. Justice May, ordered the Home Office to immediately release him.
