How Dogara collected $600,000 from Ibori, Jibrin revealed
Suspended member of the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has accused the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, of collecting $600,000 from James Ibori.
Jibrin, a former Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, claimed on Saturday that Ibori donated the money to Dogara’s campaign from prison in 2015 to support his bid to become the speaker.

Leadership NG Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has denied having political affiliation with the former governor of Delta state, James Ibori.
Dogara in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Turaki Hassan said the Speaker has not relationship whatsoever with the former governor who had just served out his jail time in a London prison.

Nigerians condemn jubilation over Ibori’s freedom
NAN Some Nigerians have expressed displeasure with the celebration of the release of James Ibori, a former Delta Governor, from a prison in London.
They told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that such celebration was condemnable, unfortunate and uncalled for.

After over four and a half years in prison, former Governor James Ibori of Delta State yesterday regained his freedom at the Royal Courts of Justice in London. An appeal judge, Mrs. Justice May, ordered the Home Office to immediately release him.

[BREAKING] Asaba residents celebrate Ibori’s release from British prison
Punch NG Ancient Asaba town and its environs were literally paralysed on Wednesday in jubilation, following news of the release of ex-Governor of Delta State, James Onanefe Ibori.
The news of his release from London prison where he had served 10-year jail term for money laundering and other offences filtered into Asaba and its environs in the early hours.
